The October 28 episode of General Hospital finally gave viewers some answers, and it is one man’s deep vendetta against Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) fueling all that has gone down at the Qs since Monica died and the reading of her will.
Here’s what went down: Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) arrived at the Quartermaines to have some words with Ronnie Bard (Erika Slezak). However, she exchanged pleasantries with the lawyer, until Martin shut the front door to the living room. Ronnie reminds him that they are not to be seen together. Martin tells her he’s not leaving, and he has a very important reason for his visit, and that no one will ever know they are working together.
Ronnie begins to grow uncomfortable and wants him to leave, but Martin plays all his cards. He snipes at Ronnie by reminding her that if he hadn’t contacted her she’d still be waiting tables. Then in a major part of the reveal that many saw coming, Martin snarls “And lest ye forget. The house, your newfound fortune? None of it would be yours if it wasn’t for me. Because, as we both know, Monica didn’t write you into her will. I did!”

Ronnie claims that if the locket around her neck is all Monica had left her, she would have been happy. Martin counters by reminding her that she was quick to change her tune after being on the receiving end of Tracy’s wrath. Ronnie admits she didn’t mind hurting Tracy, but she felt badly about the rest of the Quartermaines.
Next, Martin goes in for the jugular. He tells her not to get to comfortable in the house, because she’s going to sell it to his client, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Ronnie flatly refuses to sell it to Drew, calling him a “pompous ass.” Martin says when Drew gets the house, it will drive Tracy nuts.
Now, it’s revealed that Martin wants revenge on Tracy for destroying his life by bringing his ex-wives to Port Charles to bilk him out of everything he has, plus the prison time he faced. It was in that moment that Ronnie suddenly realized that Martin had drugged her tea so she would blame Tracy, and throw her out of the house!

Ronnie says this all gone too far, but Martin angrily warns her that nothing he has done will be traced back to him. So, if it came to light, she would be arrested for fraud and if she doesn’t sell the house to Drew, he’d take away everything she has from her, including her freedom and he throws the documents to the house in front of her to sign.
Fast forward, and at the end of the episode, Michael (Rory Gibson), Ned (Wally Kurth), and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) brought Tracy back to the house to see Ronnie. All this, after Ned convinced his mother, she has to go on the offense. Tracy tries to get it together to say to Ronnie that, “she’d like to bury the hatchet and start over,” Ronnie seconds that so they could get a fresh start. However she shockingly adds, “Which is why I’ve decided to… sell the house.” Tracy is stunned as we fade to black.

The scenes between Erika Slezak and Michael E. Knight were gold. Two impressive veterans, who we first came to know as Llanview’s Viki and Pine Valley’s Tad, now having a chance to share some moments together later in their careers. was priceless.
So, what do you think about Martin’s deep-seated hatred for Tracy and his plot? Are you glad that Erika Slezak was revealed to be Monica’s actual sister? How do you think the truth will come out? Do you think Ronnie will ultimately prevent Drew from taking over the house and save the day for Tracy, and then leave town, while Martin will wind up in the slammer? Share your theories via the comment section below, but first check out the scenes were Tracy needed some convincing for a new tactic to get back inside the Quartermaine home.
